You can find us easily...

The journey to the Okertalsperre and the Oberharz is very easy:

 

By bus & train:

Your nearest train stations are Goslar or Bad Harzburg. From there, buses run at regular intervals into the Upper Harz Mountains to the Oker Valley Dam and to Schulenberg. Please obtain information about departure and arrival times directly from the Deutsche Bahn AG timetable information service.

 

By car:

You can reach the Okertalsperre from the north or from the south.

 

North approach:

From the direction of Goslar (B6). After leaving Goslar, follow the road towards Oker. Follow the main road and leave the town southwards on the B498 in the direction of Clausthal-Zellerfeld / Osterode. After approx. 4 km you will pass Romkerhalle with the famous 60 meter high waterfall of the Kleine Romke on the left side. After another 4 km you will reach the main dam of the Okertalsperre. Approach from the south:

From the direction of Osterode (B243/B241). Leave the village on the B241 in the direction of Clausthal-Zellerfeld. Cross Clausthal-Zellerfeld until you reach the northern exit of the town. Shortly before leaving the town, turn right towards the Okertalsperre (B498). After about 6 km you will reach the dam. For parking possibilities please see the map of the Okertalsperre.
